Introducing Red Light Go
British band Red
Light GO are part of the new wave of electro
indie rock. Their sound is an electric, mix of soaring
synths, chunky guitar melodies and driving rhythms. They combine
the best bits from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's to produce
a sound which is fresh and modern.
"Hard hitting hooky synth pop with the emphasis
on their catchy songs" - (CD Baby)

Red
Light GO have just finished working on their self titled
long awaited debut album with up and coming producer Leo
Nine, this has been released on independent label ‘Magic
BOX Records’. Tracks featured on the album have
received crutical acclaim, their debut EP - 'Was It You' featured
on Pulse Radio, ‘Take the Picture’
was released as a digital download by Chromium Records
and ‘Writing on the Wall’ was also released by Moyst
Records for digital download. The band are currently
doing a number of live shows to promote the album and have started
work on tracks for the follow up.
Red Light
Go was put together by Andy Madison (vox)
and Tom Hammond (Drums) with the intention
of recording a blistering pop album. Andy and Tom were previously
in Cosmic Jive together
and had written a nymber of good pop songs. They had also worked
extensively on songs in Tom's BOX room recording studio. Andy
had been in 80's tribute band KUTE
with Mark Trueman (synths) and had written
together as well. The songs had either not been recorded at
all or had been recorded in a very basic format.
"I felt that there were some good songs which needed the
right band and the right production to do them justice. I needed
a band to play the songs for the album, but wanted to rehearse
the songs and let them develop and not just get some paid musicians
into a studio". They recruited Rob Wright (Guitars)
and Steve Nelhams (Bass) and Red Light Go was
born. "We decided we wanted to go out and play the songs
live and see how the public reacted". The response, so
far, has been very good.
Red
Light Go have just welcomed new guitarist Mark
Ireson and new Drummer Mat Mohangee
who have replaced previous members and are furiously rehearsing
for up and coming shows including the Main stage at Ashton Court
"an energetic edginess in their sound that makes
them well worth a listen" - (The Mag)
