Was It You EP (Magic Box Records) This is the debut release from new Bath based indie Magic Box Records. It's all a bit new-wave light for my liking but that's not to say Red Light Go's mixture of Blondie-esque synths and Guy Chadwick (the House of Love frontman) styled vox is particularly bad per se. It's just not very original and/or particularly exciting - neither is the inclusion of two mediocre live cuts. 'Was It You' has its moments but essentially it shows a band who have yet to really find their feet or their own sound. The potential is there, the real question is can they step it up a few gears?
