Red Light GO @ MOLES CLUB - Bath 14/7/2005

Red Light Go, were first in the line up tonight with songs that had various indications to 80's Gary Newman, The Specials, The Cure, Tin Machine era David Bowie. It wasn't a blend of these sounds transformed more of flag fying homage at random interludes and inbetween was just rolling along untill the next flag. The 5 piece were a flashing amber light waiting for Elton John to cross the street followed by a 'November Rain' ridden Axl Rose. There were synths which were extremely 80's in a atmosphere scape sense which got quite sugary in the end. The stand out tune was the third tune, their new one, 'Funny Little Dance' a melt pot of Gary Newman and Marc Almond. With songs about cover's bands; 'popstar' which i wished had burst into a cover versions of 'Waterloo' by ABBA but didn't, just crooned about how covers bands couldn't think of anything original themselves!
